Paul France D.O., M.Ost
Paul trained for four years at the European School of Osteopathy qualifying in 2016. He is registered with the General Osteopathic Council.
What influenced you to become an osteopath?
I was involved in tennis and judo at competition level from a young age, and picked up many injuries along the way. These injuries led me to see an osteopath and I was amazed at how effective this proved to be. Both of my parents were in the medical profession and, whilst I knew that I wanted to do something similar helping people, I wasn’t totally convinced by the mainstream use of drugs or surgery to treat symptoms. Osteopathy became the ideal choice for me.
When did you join the team?
September 2016. As soon as I met Jason and Jo, I knew that this was the perfect set-up for me to work in. The professionalism and competence of the staff, along with the location, made the decision really easy.
What do you enjoy most about your role at North Beds Osteopaths?
I’m passionate about osteopathy and enjoy the challenge that each patient brings. Getting to the root of the problem is extremely satisfying as it allows me to help my patients as much as possible and prevent their symptoms recurring.
What specialist areas of practice are you particularly interested in?
Because of my sports background, I initially wanted to focus on treating sports injuries. Now I firmly believe that osteopathy has an important role to play for everyone – whatever their age. I’m specifically interested in how beneficial osteopathy is for newborns and also during and after pregnancy.
How do you like to spend your spare time?
Spending as much time as possible with family and friends is very important to me. I also enjoy travel and outdoor activities, and took up golf a couple of years ago – along with all its challenges!
